He wouldn't have had anyone to pull the lever to release the reactor pressure while he held open the blast door. She also had the option to return to sleep using the autodoc and CHOSE not to. Did y'all naysayers even pay attention? A must see See more Sean M @murphomatic Jan 9 Forgiving some violations of the laws of physics, this movie was well-done. Pratt's character struggles with the moral dilemma to a degree that rises a full order of magnitude above what the average person in today's "all-about-me, instant-gratification, 30-second-microwave-popcorn" society would. If you pay close enough attention, you can watch the various subplots develop smoothly and slowly, without having to shock the viewer to close some ghastly plot hole. The ending is good - especially because it's not the peak "happily ever after" that people can't seem to live without. I think most people would've liked to see Aurora kick Jim's a** out into the void of space, screaming "F*ck the patriarchy!" right before she Autodocs herself back into suspended animation and arrives safely on Homestead II where she writes her book and proceeds to girl-boss it up, finally proving to everyone that "she don't need no man," because we haven't gotten enough of that kind of tripe already 🙄.
