diogo13 T @Tua_mera Jul 11 Overall, it was a good movie that works very well as a solid animated feature for fans. Its strongest points are undoubtedly the visuals of the city of Altomare (based on Venice) and the soundtrack, both of which are stunning. The story of Latios and Latias is also quite beautiful. What keeps it from getting a higher rating is that the blend of traditional animation with early-2000s 3D effects has aged poorly and looks awkward in action scenes today. Yet, I feel like there's a strange relationship between Latias and Latios, we get no explanation on how two latios and one latias are flying past at the end. This confusing ending combined with the "Love Birds" pokemon card really gives an incestuous undertone for me.
