Science teacher Ryland Grace (Ryan Gosling) wakes up on a spaceship light years from home with no recollection of who he is or how he got there. Yes, it’s definitely the kind of movie we need more of these days and yes, it’s also excessively long. This said,, it’s a real treasure. Ryan Gosling is at the peak of his powers and the movie is visually gorgeous. It’s sort of like ET meets Interstellar meets Gravity and with a much cozier and friendlier atmosphere. It’s absolutely worth going to see it and I’m happy I partook in all the hype, because it is real and deserved.
