While the first half of [Ready Player One] is all trivia is the superior form of geekdom and awkward geekboy somehow managing to get the geekgirl interested the second half shows how you can form real communities online.

I love this movie. I know that I love it because I have probably watched it over 20 times. It’s one of those movies that I can just put on in the background now and enjoy its ambiance. The nostalgia is oozing all over the place. So many cool IPs got included into this movie. I say hell yea for the Akira shout out. The story line is entertaining and the CGI is amazing. Wade Watts played by Tye Sheridan did a great job. He can lack depth or emotion but overall he is a solid character. Mark Rylance who plays James Halliday is amazing as usual. That guy can play any role I swear. Check out Dont Look Up or The Outfit. Ben Mendelsohn knocks it out of the park by being exactly what the plot needed. That annoying executive guy, but you actually see a little glimmer of heart in him at the end of the movie. Almost like deep down he was happy with how things turned out. This film is just FUNNN. If I watch something as many times as Ive watched this its gotta get over 90%.
