Gordie Boggs (David Arquette) and Sean Dawkins (Scott Caan) are best friends who operate a sewage truck and idolize pro wrestler Jimmy King (Oliver Platt). After Diamond Dallas Page (Diamond Dallas Page) dethrones their hero, Gordie and Sean embark on a mission to help King get his title back. When they finally track him down, however, they discover that King is not too keen on recapturing his former glory. Can the boys find a way to motivate the faded champ?

Most of the bad reviews here completely miss the mark. Yes this movie is dumb. But that's the idea. It's just dumb fun. This came out at the peak of WCW craze. I'm not a huge wrestling fan and even I went to Nitro in Philly around that time. This movie is fun.

Ready to Rumble is more dumber than I expected, and not in a fun "so bad it’s good" way. The humor is painfully juvenile, and most jokes either fall flat or are stretched way too long. The story is thin and mostly exists just to string together wrestling scenes and random antics. Even as a comedy, it struggles to stay consistently entertaining, with pacing that drags in the middle and characters that feel more like sketches than real people. There are a few moments that might get a chuckle, especially if you're into wrestling nostalgia, but they’re too few to save it. Overall, it feels messy, loud, and forgettable. 3/10.

Filme mais ou menos, o roteiro é mais ou menos, a história é mais ou menos, o elenco é bom e ajudam a melhorar o filme, mas as partes da luta livre que teve o envolvimento dos lutadores da WCW, só essas partes salvaram o filme de ser ruim.

For wrestling fans only comes this silly over the top good time. Loved the characters and wrestling appearances. Tears of joy were running down my face while watching this movie. The bloopers were great. Tim Treakle

Synopsis
