In the aftermath of a brutal ambush on the vice president's motorcade, six agents from the Secret Service, CIA, Department of Defense, and Homeland Security are ordered to shelter in a high-security safe house. But when communications are cut and the building goes into lockdown, they discover the real terror may be among them: The detonator signal that triggered the citywide attacks was traced to their location. Now, with armed operatives closing in and secrets unraveling, mistrust boils over into chaos. Each agent harbors classified knowledge--and potentially deadly intent. I will never complain about seeing [Lewis] Tan in action and perform fight choreography because he will always impress. It's just unfortunate that everyone else gets short-changed on that action, particularly [Lucien] Laviscount.

Safe House (2025) is a tense and engaging action thriller that delivers strong suspense, solid performances, and a surprisingly layered story. Centered on Secret Service agents protecting the "football" while uncovering a dangerous mole within the government, the film quickly establishes high stakes and never fully lets up. The screenplay is one of its strongest elements, packed with twists, political intrigue, and emotional turns that feel earned rather than forced. Several reveals genuinely catch you off guard, and the way they are later explained makes them even more impactful. The direction is confident, balancing action, character development, and pacing with care. Fight scenes and chase sequences are well-executed, while quieter moments help build tension. The cast is excellent, bringing depth and authenticity to their roles. One unexpected death adds real emotional weight and raises the stakes. Overall, Safe House is a smart, entertaining, and rewarding action film

This movie was HORRIBLE!!! A total dumpster fire and I could actually smell the shitty plot through the screen. The storyline had more holes in it than my favorite pair of house boxers. I've never been so thankful for the end credits to roll. My wife and I picked this thing apart before all the characters were in the house. I'm more mad at myself for actually sitting through the entire thing than I am the lack of of a good script. Guess I'm a glutton for punishment. Can't recommend AVOIDING this movie enough. This should be on MST3K!!! IYKYK!!!

I just watched this on NowTV, their synopsis bears no correlation to the movie & spoiled the whole thing for me. I found it to be a lack luster, action who-dunnit. There were some good action scenes, but due to it's misrepresentation I couldn't give it a higher rating.
