Resistakill T @RT03062602 Apr 27 The movie itself was great. I only have one gripe about it. I'm not sure if Glen Powell is being type casted as a prick or an overconfident cocky character in all the movies I've seen with him. If not, then this is another where he's just that. Spoiler alert, he dies from being cocky and not thinking before acting. Aside from that, I enjoyed watching. I never deployed, getting out just before my unit was SUPPOSED to. This seems like a very well done depiction of what it may be like. La pellicola cerca di restare imparziale sia nei personaggi che, soprattutto nelle situazioni; senza trovare facili villain che facciano cadere nel solito clichè. Peccato davvero per i personaggi secondari, poco sviluppati e piatti; nonostante le tante sequenze si percepisce praticamente sempre che saranno solamente di contorno; tanto che la sorte di alcuni di loro non viene nemmeno raccontata. Maybe that's because it's not the usual 'America is the greatest' dramatisation like a lot of this type of movie. It seems to have a level of emotional connection to the Iraqi's featured, rather than simply being about the Western agenda of 'we're right; we're all-powerful; we're superior'. It's not a socio-political piece, by any stretch, but it seems to deliver something with at least a little heart and some meaning See more Justin D @RadOldDad 07/26/2025 I thought this was an excellent movie and thoroughly enjoyable. Hoult is always great and an earlier role for Glen Powell who is also always good, and Logan Marshall Green really shined in this as Sgt Harper. Cavill was meh as usual but fills the part fine. It had several good action scenes, solid story and keeps you guessing about what and when something might start to pop off. I would HIGHLY recommend this for anyone who enjoys a good war movie and might have missed it, like I did. See more Read all reviews
