*Scary Movie 2* wasn't nearly as strong as the first one for me. It still had a few moments that got some genuine chuckles, but a lot of the jokes just didn't land this time. It feels like the sequel tried to go bigger in every way, yet bigger doesn't always mean funnier. The cast is still clearly having a great time, and there's enough silly fun to stay entertained, but it lacks the consistency of the original. Nostalgia definitely gives my score a little boost as well. Still an enjoyable rewatch, just not one that had me laughing nonstop. ★★★☆☆
