It has been many years since the Ghostface Killer cut a deadly path through the town of Woodsboro. In order to get over the trauma of those horrific events, Sidney Prescott (Neve Campbell) has written a self-help book. She returns to Woodsboro for her book tour, and reconnects with old friends Gale Weathers (Courteney Cox) and Sheriff Dewey (David Arquette). However, Sidney's arrival also sparks the return of Ghostface, putting Sidney and everyone she loves in danger.

Overall, the film isn’t as strong as the prior three entries and its commentary is not as sharp, but, in its attempt to do something different, it nevertheless feels exciting and unpredictable in a way that we haven’t felt since "2" (1997).

Greetings from Lithuania. "Scream 4" (2011) was a movie that I haven't really enjoyed when I watched originally back in 2011. Revisiting it in 2026 on newly remastered 4K UHD release I found myself enjoying this movie more then before. This is a tightly paced sequel that takes a stab at remakes, social media and influencers. No matter what - that is the motto here in order to get famous. Hayden Panettiere stole most of the scene she was in for me personally - her character was superb. There are tons of famous young faces in this movie, and they all did a good job. Directing by Wes Craven was good - at running time 1 h 47 min this movie barely drags. What I noticed also in this movie is that killing this time are far more real - I mean killer isn't goofing around, it is more lethal than ever. Overall, "Scream 4" is a good entry in a "Scream" franchise, one of the better ones.
