Recent college graduate Brantley Foster (Michael J. Fox) travels from his home in Kansas to New York City to pursue a new finance job. However, when Brantley arrives, he learns that his position has been eliminated, and he's forced to take a job working for his inept Uncle Howard (Richard Jordan), who became a company president through marriage. Brantley starts as a mere mailroom worker, but quickly climbs the corporate ladder when he begins posing as an executive.

First saw this in Japan in 87 in the Navy and it inspired me to shoot for the moon. You don't need degrees and certificates to get ahead you need grit and a willingness to look at the world in a certain way.

Filme fraco, o roteiro é fraco, as cenas são fracas, a história é fraca, o elenco é fraco, e ninguém ajuda a melhorar o filme, os personagens são fracos, e o filme deveria ter cenas bem melhores e relevantes, para fazer o filme ser bom

2 Years after "Back To The Future" Michael J. Fox tried with other movies to recapture the same success, what this movie an improvement? Well yes & no. The Secret of My Success can have some catchy music and romantic moments it unfortunately can suffer from a lackluster story with weak writing, unnecessary plot holes and questionable acting speaking of the acting Michael J. Fox tries his hardest but hardest but he was given very little to work with, Helen Slater may be a decent actress but the filmmakers try way too hard to make her look like Princess Diana also why do you have Carol Ann Susi of all people? While it's not the worst nor best film i've seen it's just that this isn't exactly my cup of tea.
