Gayle B 2d Love the recent showing of classic musicals. Went to see An American in Paris, Singin in the Rain, and The Phantom of the Opera (2004). All enjoyed very much. Beautiful and entertaining films. See more Eric J 01/30/2025 Delightful movie, made the old fashion way. No computer graphics, no explosions, no improbable stunts. Plenty of singing, dancing, and humor. Overall a very entertaining, upbeat movie. I dont think ive ever smiled so much over the course of a movie before. Even though it’s an older musical, it still feels super energetic and entertaining because all of the performances have so much charm and personality. The songs are catchy, the dancing is really impressive, and you can tell how much effort went into every scene. The plot is pretty simple, but that actually works because the movie focuses more on being entertaining and showing off the performances. I also liked how it shows Hollywood during the transition from silent films to sound, which made it more interesting than I expected.
