Was a massive Spice Girls fan back in the day, so I recently rewatched for a but of nostalgia - painfully cringeworthy every step of the way! One star should suffice for the singalong bits

Honestly Spice World at this point is a nostalgia trip for the fans. This movie is a silly little fever dream, but it's very fun! The girls play up their personas, there is plenty of their old music in it. To me it definitely taps British Comedy but more so television than film just because of the variety. Either way it's a fun watch, if you're looking for something super cohesive skip it, if you're a fan looking for a giggle and to sing some of your favorite Spice Girl hits from the 90s watch it and don't forget the credits!

Spice World isn't a movie in the traditional sense, but rather a carousel of funny scenes, quirky cameos, and, of course, lots of music. With no concrete plot beyond the chaotic events that lead the Spice Girls to their big live performance at the Royal Albert Hall, the film is a perfect reflection of the pop phenomenon they represented in the late 1990s. Full of absurdist humor, surreal sequences, and boundless energy, Spice World is a guilty pleasure that over the years has become a cult film for fans. It doesn't aim to be profound or logical, merely to entertain and celebrate "Girl Power" with a parade of iconic moments. For those who grew up with the Spice Girls' music, it remains a vibrant, nostalgic journey that encapsulates the spirit of their era.
