TheMovieSearch R @TheMovieSearch 4d Splinters is a frustrating film that struggles to find its footing, despite Jaxon Kellie giving a solid performance. He delivers with commitment and charisma, proving that the acting itself isn’t the problem, but even his efforts can’t save a screenplay that is disjointed and poorly structured. The story feels backwards and clunky, with awkward pacing and little cohesion, making it difficult to engage with any of the characters or plotlines. The infamous dancing scene perfectly exemplifies the film’s flaws. A sequence that promises energy and fun instead becomes confusing and pointless, highlighting how disconnected the movie is from itself. The writing fails to provide emotional stakes or narrative flow, leaving viewers adrift. Overall, Splinters is a low-tier film. Kellie shines within the chaos, but the movie’s uneven storytelling and bizarre moments make it a tedious watch, suitable only for those curious about a poorly executed concept.
