Ben C @bc002 Mar 19 Really loved this movie even though I was in middle school when it came out, it is funny because it feels like as with any first generation of anything its kind of rough around the edges and now I think influencers are better at presenting themselves as brands with less insight into the messiness and the darkness. I can now see how this lifestyle has moved from fringe (as in this movie) to our default culture - this movie, helps you see the mechanics at work. I honestly think this needs to be shown in schools. From a 2026 perspective it reads like the beginning of something everyone now understands. Its interesting seeing the first generation of internet-famous people realizing that attention can turn into a career but also completely consume your entire life.
