In other words, this movie is great! While some of the abrupt and odd cuts and some sketchy,’unfinished looking VFX sometimes takes me out of the movie, I still felt empathy for the characters and was immersed throughout. I definitely recommend this!

Everything good about movies. I wish Amandla's character had been more fully developed. The boyfriend left behind was unnecessary. The tributes' wholehearted participation in the training camp diminished the gravity of the reaping. But otherwise, good fun.

Watched this for the first time in 7th grade and promptly forgot about how good this movie is. Such a great premise, theme, and message. There are so many parallels to our current society - it truly displays the apathy and detached views of the privileged/wealthy.

I am a huge fan of the original book! I really loved the cinematic elements and the characters were depicted so well by the actors. However, they left out many major events with the movie which was dissatisfying.
