If there is more pleasure to be had than watching great actors behaving badly, I would genuinely wish to know about it. Go to Full Review

The Invite beautifully conveys that, no matter how open we might be -- or, crucially, believe we might be -- there will be barriers that arise, ones that must be dealt with instead of hidden behind. Go to Full Review

The Invite feels like a throwback to the grown up films of the ’70s and early ’80s. What an absolute pleasure. Grownups are back, baby! Go to Full Review

Love can be "many-splendored." It can be torturous. In this movie, it’s often hilarious more than anything else. Go to Full Review

["The Invite" is] a chamber piece about what happens when you let resentments fester instead of treating them, and how the only person you have to blame is yourself. Go to Full Review

...The Invite is not only far superior to the original film in every way, but it also proves to be a dramedy that is funny, sensitive, and provocative all at once. [Full review in Spanish] Go to Full Review

MandyKTZ 31m Brilliant film! Incredible acting, incredible script, incredible heart. See more Damian 9h Actually funny unlike scary movie 6... keeps you interested See more Robin 12h Lots of laughs, great acting from everyone, good movie, happy I was able to catch it before it left theaters.. just wish AMC Portchester would add recliner seats to their standard auditoriums.. my tailbone is killing me. See more bob 1d Olivia Wilde as a director is great. I want to see more movies from her. Seth Rogan as always is great but this movie he felt like a fish outta water. Is the point rediscovering yourself or the relationship your in with your partner? Is it to teach swingers how to, to a younger college audience? Even for A24 this is uniquely outta place. The music storyline and them coming together at the end was nice but the storyline just fell flat. Edward Norton doesn’t fit, neither does Cruz. See more ALVN H 2d Not what you expected from the running title poster lines. Great casting and Olivia Wilde “can” direct. A very “adult” comedic drama See more Shelby 3d Ending was inconclusive, but movie itself was thought provoking. Lots of tension and drama between the couples. See more Read all reviews
