The plot manoeuvres in this léger noir are so boilerplate and predictable that viewers are likely to find themselves expecting much bigger twists than are actually delivered.

Pay it half a mind and every few minutes a loud bang, a gunshot or an actor yelling would draw attention. The plot is so straightforward that nothing will be missed. Alas, nothing is gained either, and the entertainment value is subpar at best.

The Locksmith is an idiotic flop whose screenplay should've stayed locked up in places where bad screenplays never get made into movies. The plot twists are really plot holes. The performances and direction are low-quality and uninspired.

(Phillippe) has found a home in these B-movie thrillers. But to his credit there’s never a sense he’s slumming it or just cashing a check. He’s a sturdy lead who finds ways to make each of his characters interesting. It’s the same with “The Locksmith”.

The protagonist whining and stupid. Due to a poorly written script. Linear, and predictable execution. Needed FOUR Screenwriter, to get this terribly flat product?!

Familiar faces drew me to this one. The name, well, did not. The acting was good, and the plotline, though you knew the ending or did I, was good. I was sad to see a character die, but I expected it. But then again, the stories are so over-told. The actors played well off each other, and the asses were typecast! I would spend the time on this one, it was worth the watch! I do hope to see this cast together in another show. Ving was great, as always. Ryan was also giving the performance we expected (good), Kate did well, but I think she was held back a bit with the writing, I'm not sure this was the best fit for what you would expect from her. She did well, it just wasn't a good fit. Gabriela was excellent, and a surprise, as I don't think I have seen her, or at least noticed until this film! Keep up the good work Gabriela!! Like I said, spend the time, it was worth the investment of mine!
