The Long Walk is less about the actual walk itself and more about the psychological toll it would take on a person to participate, as well as the terror inherent in a society that looks at death as entertainment.

Sometimes it's nice to just let the mythology behind a dystopia serve as a backdrop for a tale of brotherly love that reminds us empathy and camaraderie are the truest form of rebellion against an authoritarian regime.

The Long Bore is more apt. This is a short story adaptation done sloppy. Stephen King can not be happy about this one with anything but the paycheck.

The character development and the bond you feel for each character differs but all hits really close to the heart. These actors did a great job portraying the storyline to be entertaining and thrilling.
