The Meg is an enjoyable movie if you don’t go in with lofty expectations for a movie about a giant shark that eats a bunch of people. It is the epitome of general audience popcorn fair, and an amusing spectacle.

The serious tone promised at the beginning unraveled and the plot meandered its way towards a ridiculous ending. It lacked consistent stakes and therefore cohesion. I don’t know what I just watched.

I am a huge fan of shark movies. Especially megalodons, sharks are my favorite thing on the planet. It's fast-paced, it doesn't have a deep storyline, but it's definitely fun. CGI did absolutely amazing with the sharks.

The Meg is a fun action movie that does not take itself too seriously. The giant shark creates plenty of exciting moments, and the underwater scenes keep the movie entertaining. It is more about enjoying the adventure than expecting a deep story. Overall, it is a good popcorn movie that is easy to watch and fun from start to finish.

One of my favourite movies, it may be because sharks are my absolute favourite thing and movie gene for over a decade, I would most definitely recommend and I have watched this like 7 times and I would gladly watch it another 7 times, although I could be biased because I really love sharks, but the plot was so good, I nearly cried at some parts even though it is a thriller, overall it is a great movie in my opinion
