A deliberately, almost defensively, inane trifle -- a cupcake whose icing reads, "Enjoy the tooth decay." Go to Full Review

Like a drug store chocolate bar, it just is. It might not be good for you, but it'll go down shockingly easy, give you a minor sugar high (and possible headache) and disappear from your memory just as quickly. Go to Full Review

Wavers between too little and too much fantasy, and between charming and simply odd. Go to Full Review

The flaws in The Royal Treatment makes up for how charming and charismatic they are together. Jacobson’s movie is neither realistic nor an excellently written or structured movie. Go to Full Review

It's charming enough that we just want to ignore common sense. Go to Full Review

Harish N @harish_napa 1d The romantic comedy is a solid, lighthearted endeavor that offers a warm and relaxing watch. It focuses on a outspoken New York hairdresser who gets the opportunity of a lifetime to work at a royal wedding, proving that a classic fairytale premise can be genuinely charming when it embraces wholesome, easygoing moments. It stands as a sweet, feel good watch that brings a pleasant energy throughout. Laura Marano is wonderful as Izzy, bringing a natural enthusiasm and bright screen presence that carries her scenes with effortless charm. She captures the vibrant, down to earth spirit of her character beautifully, while The writing keeps the narrative light and predictable, relying on familiar royal tropes and easy situational humor. While the story follows a very formulaic path, the colorful production design, vibrant wardrobe, and cozy atmosphere make it a comforting experience. It works as an enjoyable, sweet watch for anyone looking for a light story about following your heart. See more Lina T @RT41695193 Jul 15 I think it's poorly written. The female lead is very judgmental, blunt, and loud, and not in a good way. As an employee who's being paid to do her job, she doesn't seem to be doing her job. She also seems overly confident, acting as if everyone automatically likes her. The side characters are poorly written as well. They each have a few charming moments, but two of the other stylists are excessively loud and lack basic etiquette. Overall, I found the characters unrealistic and difficult to like, which made the movie less enjoyable for me. It is such an easy and breezy watch and reminds me of one of my childhood favourites—Grace Stirs Up Success. Adorable, predictable, vibrant, feel-good, cheesy, cringey, cliched, flawed and apparently hated by most. If you want The Notebook, then don't watch The Royal Treatment—it is as simple as that.
