It was crap! … I love an anti-developer narrative, but it was so insubstantial. … I felt embarrassed for these actors, the way they were capering. There are so many good examples of this kind of thing done so much better; just watch one of them instead.

The mystery, in the first of what will likely be a series of films, isn’t really that interesting. But it draws in fine stage-and-screen actors like David Tennant, Jonathan Pryce, Naomie Ackie and Daniel Mays.

Chris Columbus is a book menace! This is so watered down and he slammed the door for it to have follow ups like the books do. The characters were changed the plot was changed and the story was changed. To have that much talent in the cast and still turn out something that mediocre is a crime. Wrecked the beginning muddled the middle and ruined the ending. That being said I thought Pierce Brosnan was miscast and he proved me wrong. I was so excited when this was announced because I love the books and it just broke my heart. Casting was great, cinematography was lovely, but the direction and story… woof!

The Thursday Murder Club is easy viewing, nothing overly complex, but charming and a fun watch from start to finish. It’s packed with big-name stars, though not necessarily their best performances, but solid all around. The film delivers consistent entertainment in the same way 1980s TV series kept you hooked: light, engaging, and never taking itself too seriously. In a world saturated with tedious superhero movies, The Thursday Murder Club stands out as a refreshing throwback! An easy-to-watch, fun film the way they used to make them. Recommended for anyone looking for a breezy, enjoyable escape.

This movie is not good, it has several obvious problems, unnecessary information that has no relevance at all, characters acting unreally, and like an investigation movie, the main mystery is very badly done, it can be intriguing, but it is impossible to be deciphered until the moment it opens all the tests, the performances of the elderly in the class are good, but those of the other characters are very negative, I do not recommend watching
