It felt somewhat satisfying to see how various characters got their comeuppance, certainly. I thought the stories were, if anything, more interesting than the ones in Tales of the Crypt. I particularly liked the one about Asian mysticism/magic. There is a certain symbology used which is somewhat clever. However, there is, I felt, also an element of visual, slapstick but quite dark comedy about it and I suppose it was likely more spooky and potentially scary back when it was released (the late 1970s) but never the less, its still a good film to watch I'd say, so I'd recommend it, yes. See more 07/28/2018 Also known as Tales From the Crypt 2, this is as good or better than the original Tales From the Crypt. Be sure to look for the excellent unrated edition; there were scenes of gore originally cut out for some reason that have been restored on the Scream Factory Blu-ray release, but not the DVD.
