LaBute has replaced the seduction of the first film with a general sense of bewilderment and loss; it's good for building tension but doesn't fit with the payoff. The plot elements lead where they need to go well enough but don't mix particularly well.

Yeah even though I lightly enjoyed this one this movie was still pretty bad. I watched it on DVD and much to my disgust I found out while watching that the DVD release cut the only reason anyone remembers this film AKA That iconic bee scene. I can't recommend this one even if you're a die hard Nic Cage fan like myself.

This movie, I thought it was good in the beginning, and in the middle. I am personally not a big fan of stories that end with injustice, depending on how it's told. I was a little bit under the impression that Nicolas Cage was going to play the type of character who gets his karma, but it's not that at all. I thought the movie was kind of creepy and eerie, but the acting at times was kind of poor. The alternate cut of the film did not do this film much justice, even though the bee helmet has been memed countless times. The music was good, creepy, and eerie. It had a strong cast, but the movie's story was told in a so bad it's good kind of way.

A cinematic crime so painful it feels like being burned alive: a shrieking, incoherent mess where camp and incompetence collide, leaving behind not horror, not art, but the worst kind of torture — making me wish I could claw my eyes out rather than endure another frame.

first off watch this back to back with the original. and while i did find the original to be boring it at least had a storyline and decent acting. with this remake after watching this i understand completely why this remake is down there with the fog, rollerball and point break as the worst remakes ever. just horrible acting and storyline and will only be remembered by the ack the bees meme
