Visually, "This Is Not a Test" seems to be shooting for the style of "28 Days Later" (and reaching for that uniquely striking pinnacle only really betrays how visually dull the film is). However, the film’s core issues lie with the characters.

It’s got the gore, start-of-zompocalypse suburban mayhem, tense standoffs, and even some unique exploration of getting bit by a not-yet-turned zombie. What more could one want? Oh, yeah, more metal on the soundtrack. “The Bone Temple” taught it well.

Who edited this movie?! They copied & pasted a bunch of scenes together & hoped that it would work itself out. The sequencing is pretty horrible throughout. Most of the characters are very unlikable or relatable. My love for zombie films made me not hate it but this should’ve definitely been a straight to streaming release.
