Carson C @Weetziebat3 Jul 21 A horror movie based in reality. Spanish audio with English subtitles. A corrupt politician employs gang members to commit human trafficking. A group of orphans band together and survive the best they can, having to move camp when the gang members get too close. There are slight supernatural aspects but nothing that takes away from the reality that sadly many children are dealing with everyday. Warning: Kids die in this so don't watch if you can't handle that content. The children are phenomenal actors, the cinematography was stunning, and the story kept me on edge. I loved this. I liked the concept, but felt that some of the execution fell a bit flat. The supernatural as a metaphor or manifestation of trauma or real-life horror is a cool idea, and the animation on the graffiti at the beginning was very atmospheric, but the plot didn’t really hold together for me, and some of the special effects started to seem gimmicky as the movie progressed.
