Michael C @Michael71 5h More than three decades after its release "Tombstone" has definitely stood the test of time and is one of the of the best Western films ever made. Kurt Russell is perfectly cast as Wyatt Earp. The same can be said for the entire cast. Every role is well cast. Of course, you cannot have a review of "Tombstone" without mentioning the late Val Kilmer in the best performance of his career as John Henry "Doc" Holiday. A role I still say he should have won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor. "Tombstone" has just the right amount of drama and action that helps the movie move along and not feel drawn out. My only criticism of the movie are a few historical inaccuracies, but that is expected with movies based on real life events. That being said "Tombstone" is a terrific movie that I highly recommend. No matter how many times I watch it, it never loses its charm. Every scene feels iconic, every line feels memorable, and it might honestly be the most quotable movie ever made. The cast is absolutely stacked, but Val Kilmer completely steals the show as Doc Holliday. Every scene he’s in becomes unforgettable. Cool, funny, deadly, and emotional all at once — it’s the greatest supporting performance ever put on screen. “I’m your huckleberry” alone became legendary for a reason. From the action to the friendships to the dialogue, this movie fires on all cylinders. Kurt Russell is fantastic, the chemistry between the cast is perfect. If you somehow haven’t seen Tombstone yet, fix that immediately. And if you have seen it, you probably already know why people keep coming back to it decades later.
