I’m very surprised by the fairly low rating. I found Too Late to be a little of fun. I thought the cliches were more tongue in cheek than awkward. The dialogue was snappy and the cast was excellent - especially Dichen Lachlan

The takes are incredible. Everyone who worked on this movie seems very talented. There’s a scene where a woman doesn’t wear bottoms for like 25 mins with no cuts. 5 stars.

This is a sad and sometimes relatively gritty film - the plot was annoyingly slow and it didn't feel like it had any real direction at times but it does pick up a bit, a while later. I wasn't convinced it was worth watching for a while but the acting by one or two characters made me stick with it for the most part. This isn't by any means a memorable film and the story is far from original, it isn't a film I'd recommend but it's not quite especially awful, just, also, it's certainly not good. No, don't bother with this one.

One of those movies that had all the elements of a great film but ended up disappointing. I don't mind long takes, but some excruciatingly vapid, drawn-out dialogue made this a real chore to watch at times. All the characters are underdeveloped, and it's a testament to John Hawkes' performance that you like his character anyway. Most of the acting is good except in one case - why on earth they cast that Australian girl is beyond me. I have no problem with non-linear narratives either, but the editing choices leave no satisfying resolution, and put the climax in the middle. The rest of the film is just not strong enough to justify it.
