I'm prepared to give Mitchell the benefit of the doubt. His film looks great, and even though it lacks the discipline that might have made it a classic of its kind, it's well worth travelling down these mean cinematic streets.

Good movie. Creative and original. Felt like a homage to the David Lynch genre. It’s not for everyone and that’s ok. Looking forward to more of David’s future creations. This year with the end of oak street and next year with they follow. Keep doing what you do David. 👍👍

I really enjoyed this film. You really felt like you got to see a part of Los Angeles that most people aren't even aware of. This movie felt like a fever dream at times. It really had strong influences or somewhat of a homage to David Lynch. The director did a great job following the lead into this mystery of finding his neighbor. Andrew Garfield was terrific in this role. Makes me want to watch a sequel to this world. Even if it's not Andrew's character. The homeless king was a very intriguing character. Wish I knew more of his backstory. David Robert Mitchell is a director I am waiting to see more of. Bright future for him in directing. This is my first film of his that I've watched. I'm glad I did. The music was good. If I had one thing to critique, it should have shown more of the owl lady Thought that was terrifying. Needed more of that. Also, to focus on the guy dressed as a pirate some more. This is a movie that deserves more than one watch. This will end of being a cult classic

What a self-indulgent piece of crap. Whatever stupid nonsensical idea the writer had made it into the dialogue. Someone here mentioned that this will become a cult classic. Yeah, a cult classic of stupidity.

a terrible, nonsense movie.. the kind you wish you never stumbled upon. 2 hours too long…andrew garfield plays a gross creep who is easy to hate. the plot was lost in confusing and disturbing gore, random new love interests every 20 minutes and overall a feeling of "i need to shower" the second you stop watching. TERRIBLE
