One night, while teenagers Blaire, Mitch, Jess, Adam Ken and Val take part in an online group chat session, they are suddenly joined by a user known only as "Billie227." Thinking it's just a technical glitch, the friends carry on their conversation... until Blaire begins receiving messages from someone claiming to be Laura Barns, a classmate who killed herself exactly one year prior. As Blaire tries to expose Billie's identity, her friends are forced to confront their darkest secrets and lies.

Puts very real seeming (although slightly hysterical) teens in an unreal situation. As the stakes rise so do the emotions, so parents, be warned that you may be as horrified by the language as you are by the thrills and chills.

Amazing movie to watch at anytime if you like suspense and thriller mixed with the view of found footage entertainment I would absolutely recommend this movie to you. The plotline being an easy follow plus having to always watch the movie in order not to miss anything makes it just that much better.

It was really good! I love how they were able to film this entire thing just from a computer screen, while still conveying so much emotion and drama. It's a great horror movie.

This movie was amazing. Had me on the edge of my seat. I loved the cast and their performances (especially Shelley/Ashley), and especially the nostalgic computer design (I feel it being on my computer now haha) and "late night call" vibes. It's something I live for. There's a reference to Teen Wolf on the computer which is a show Shelley has acted in. The pacing is good, but it was slow at times and had some unnecessarily long scenes. And the language was annoyingly frequent. For these two reasons, I had to take off half a star. There are many suggestive themes and sex, but no explicit nudity. The violence was strong, but mostly hidden by the grainy texture of the call. Not torture porn level. The best part was the mystery. No one seems to know who the "troll" is. They all accuse each other, and even throw out the possibility that it's Laura, even though she's dead. If you want drama, suspense and good nostalgic mystery, this movie is for you! I recommend to horror fans.

While Unfriended may not 'friend' every horror fan, its attempt to shake things up is praiseworthy. For the most part, the horror scenes are spine-tingling and fun, making it a great addition to the genre. Grading: C+

Not a bad movie, and I don't know why the ratings by the RT audiences are so bad. It's a bit primitive, but it's also 11 years old.

Wasn't terrible, had decent foreshadowing about each individual character. Definitely in so bad it's good territory. Ken was a real one. "Fun Here ->" out of 10
