After finding a laptop, a young man goes online to play a game with five of his good friends. He shows them a mysterious folder that plays disturbing videos of people who appear to be in danger. They then receive an anonymous message that tells them they will all die if they disconnect or call the police. The planned night of fun quickly turns deadly as each user becomes the target of something sinister while the others watch helplessly in terror.

Figuratively speaking, Unfriended 2 puts a sheet over its head and says "whooo; the internet is scary". It is seldom as scary as a sheet.

If continuity errors bother you tremendously, there will be plenty of spots in Unfriended: Dark Web that will niggle you. My suggestion would be to go in, suspend your disbelief, and have a good time.

A surprisingly mean (and prescient) screenlife horror film about the dangers of being online. The characters decisions become easier to accept once you realize they were never getting out of this. Plus: casual queer rep for the win!

So it doesn’t explain how the people or idk if you can call them people… half people half idk ghost/internet glitches can do what they do which is annoying as 💩 so it’s just really weird and not well thought out

The movie was pretty intense, and much more intense then the original "Unfriended" movie. Of course it was made later, so there was the opportunity to have better tech. I recommend it...and you don't have to even see the first one to appreciate this one.
