Jay W @RT52162311 Jun 28 On the positive side, the main character in the story does some very clever things and is very good at her job. Noomi Rapace does a good job as the lead action star in this film, and the action is well shot. The storyline about a manufactured virus to create stronger government control is something that feels all too real post 2020. Orlando Bloom is also a welcome addition to the cast, injecting a good amount of humor and energy to the film. On the negative side, it is hard for a movie to sell the "trust no one" angle of things, when the story follows the most cookie cutter spy story there is. I won't spoil it here, just in case you have never seen a movie before and you want this one to be your first. But yeah, it is the most predictable "twist" I have seen in a long time. Noomi Rapace is charismatic, and Malkovich plays the world-weary intelligence officer well. Douglas plays the slimeball perfectly. I am surprised that it did not get some sequels. It's a little weird, but if you like action movies, this is a nice change from the Marvel ones with all the CGI. For a free streaming movie on a Saturday night, it was pretty decent!
