Jonathan Shannon (Ryan Phillippe) gives his 17-year-old daughter Clare (Joey King) an old music box that promises to grant its owner seven wishes. Skeptical at first, Clare becomes seduced by its dark powers when her life starts to radically improve with each wish. The movie Wish Upon starring Joey king is a really good parasite film about a magical box. I don’t want to say too much more about the movie as to give away its premise and I don’t want to be a spoiler. But the film uh makes this fantasy almost believable and has some valuable lessons within the film also some horrific violence so I would not recommend this film to 12 or under people. The Joey king does a magnificent job in this film getting the message across. I will probably give this film an 8 out of 10 stars.
