WUTHERING HEIGHTS is a mixed bag. On one hand, strong production design, cinematography, score, and performances are present. On the other, poor writing, thin characters, and departure from the source weighs down the film to caricature.

The film is pulsating, slightly savage, wildly sexy, and full of torment - just as Brontë intended it to be. Fennell is the first filmmaker to truly capture this. Some will complain. I say all hail this bold and delicious adaptation.

Very strange and didn't follow the book, but the imagery, costumes, and music were INCREDIBLE. It was all truly unbelievable and a very different kind of movie to see.

Very interesting but sad story. The characters were cast well. The setting and houses were perfect. The dresses Cathy wore were gorgeous! I never read the book so can't compare.
