Set in an isolated mountain village in 19th century Macedonia, YOU WON'T BE ALONE follows a young girl who is kidnapped and then transformed into a witch by an ancient spirit. Curious about life as a human, the young witch accidentally kills a peasant in the nearby village and then takes her victim's shape to live life in her skin. Her curiosity ignited, she continues to wield this horrific power in order to understand what it means to be human.

Oh my goodness this movie is a masterpiece. It’s tragic, beautiful, grim, hopeful all in one. Cinematography is beautifully done. The story is amazing! More folk tragedy than horror but it had me blown away. I recommend this movie 10/10!!!

Exceptional Folk Horror Tale... Unsure of which legend or folk tale this story represents, but it's quite intriguing so far and unlike anything before. Noomi Rapace's role is unparalleled in her performance in this film, unlike any other I've seen prior to this. The premise of the story is very different than I could have imagined in the way they've accomplished it, and it's a rather horrorific and juicy spectacle for the eyes. There is so much to learn from so many viewpoints and the constant feeling of how long you can make this one last. I had no idea that Alice Englert was in this film, and her role allowed her the most life yet experienced in the film.

A poetic, stunning debut. Goran should be proud. I was left in awe thinking about several scenes days later. The "monster" is shown in the first minutes, and you're stuck thinking about her story. The main character continues to expand. Every actor is phenomenal. Every introspection serves up raw emotion. I feel fully satisfied with the ending. And yet..

The movie is based on a woman's perspective it is emotional, original, indifferent, disturbing, romantic, lustful, peculiar, child-rearing, sinful, witches, and nudity. Also, It shows the strength of love that a woman has for her child and the will to live her life the way she deems fit.
