arvind s @Arvind100 4d As far as thrillers go, Malayalam cinema has set very high standards. Baby Girl isn't a great thriller, but it is still a watchable one. Baby Girl is a movie that loses focus and tempo in the second half. The 2nd half of the movie dwells a lot on social commentary and excessive drama that hampers the pace of a thriller. Nivin Pauly isn't exactly the right fit for the role of Sanal, an attendant at the hospital. His character doesn't have much to do. The two people who stand out are Sangeeth Prathap and Lijomol. The former, who has predominantly featured in comic roles, does an excellent job in a dramatic role here. Lijomol needs no introduction. She has been stellar in everything she has been a part of. Abhimanyu Shammy Thilakan, Azees Nedumangad and Nandhu co-star. Baby Girl is not a bad movie, it is just not the best kind of thriller that Malayalam cinema has to offer.
