The first scenes with the AI, soldiers walking backwards, it was not as good as the reviews made it seem better than it was. It has some 28 Days Later vibes too it. Definitely a B movie. The acting is decent, the plot is pretty standard. Overall, if you into zombie films with some adaptations, this is a good one for you! It’s low budget so you shouldn’t expect much anyway, but whoever wrote the lines for the actors needs to learn how a conversation is actually driven. The amount of times they repeat the same line over and over again really makes it hard to listen to. I’ve had to stop the movie four times before getting to the fifty minute mark because of how bad the acting is. Parts of the movie try to get your emotions going/scared/riled up just become laughable. They need to go to a gun range and learn what shooting actually looks/feels like. I understand the low budget aspect so the effects aren’t going to be the greatest, but for gods sake move back with the rifle or move the pistol up to simulate recoil. All in all hard to watch, but I hope the director keeps trying and does more research. Could be a wake up call into some great work. Need good zombie movies.
