Critics Consensus

Though not the highest caliber of Agatha Christie adaptations, Seven Dials is a short and sweet dive into a mysterious rabbit hole that carries great performances and stylish verve.

Let’s focus on the best parts of “Seven Dials,” which occur when Bundle crosses paths with Superintendent Battle (Martin Freeman). Their back-and-forth gives the series the pluck it lacks elsewhere. Go to Full Review

This tidy journey of less than three hours is lovely period-movie fun. Go to Full Review

While McKenna-Bruce is a watchable lead, her privilege and connections result in easy access to clues and situations that instantly lower the stakes. If everything is at your fingertips and there’s nothing to work for, the payoff isn’t rewarding. Go to Full Review

I don’t usually expect too much from Netflix originals, but I found Agatha Christie's Seven Dials to be a worthwhile adaptation. Go to Full Review

The spy elements provide intrigue but then we are pulled into a stereotypical whodunnit setting that feels jarring. Go to Full Review

erincookies r @cookiesandmovies 1d Quirky who dunnit, leading down various paths, light and fluffy, a nice bingable show perfect for a night, with a great women lead. Fun twists and turns, very Agatha Christe! See more Johann D. M @Johann33 3d ENJOYABLE AND INTRIGUING!!! The series is engaging, and its three episodes are more than sufficient to tell the story it sets out to explore. Bundle Brent is a compelling protagonist. Her insistence on getting involved in the investigation may feel a bit forceful at times, but her intelligence and determination make her easy to root for. The plot offers several unpredictable twists, although the talented cast feels somewhat underused. While the miniseries had strong potential, the mystery itself does not reach the heights of some of Christie’s more iconic works. It is reportedly a faithful and successful adaptation, which earns it merit, but ultimately it does not quite stand out as a truly memorable classic. See more CT 8 @ct8787 4d The 1981 movie is heralded for being a faithful adaptation of Agatha Christie’s 1929 novel. The Netflix limited series is not a faithful adaptation. Those responsible for this series opted to toss aside accuracy for the sake of appealing to a modern audience. And that’s exactly why it failed. See more Barbara G @Bargar 4d First of all, the acting is good. Nice locations, especially a beautiful beach view towards the end. I believe some of the changes from the original book didn't work. The 3rd episode is set in a train. Initially the filming here was exciting, but it became painfully slow, rubbishy and tedious. While the filming generally captured the look of the 1920s, I thought some of the female actors outfits & looks weren't typical of the time. I was disappointed with it. See more Michael S 5d I'm really amazed at all the negative reviews of this series. I found it extremely enjoyable with amazing acting and beautiful authentic representations of Britain in the 20s. Everything about it was definitely first and all the characters believable and entertaining. I really found a lot of humor woven into the characterization and the story making it even more enjoyable. The photography said to and costume design we're truly first rate and gave you the feeling of being in the English countryside or cities during that. It really makes you wonder what people want. Overall first rate production that I highly recommend watching See more Gary P @Garypacheco 5d wow.. what a waste of time.. bad acting.. bad plot.. bad dialogue.. no story and NO MYSTERY.. could it have been worse... dont think so... what the hell was MORGAN FREEMAN thinking? worst mystery of the year... please its so lame.. avoid this See more Read all reviews
