What to Know

Critics Consensus

Replaying the same formula in a new setting, Hijack's second season doesn't quite justify continuing a story that worked best as a one-off, but watching Idris Elba save the day remains a thrill.

I found it very smartly constructed in a way that kept me wanting to watch. Go to Full Review

This second season may satiate Elba fans, but in the end it’s another example of too much of a good thing. Go to Full Review

I happily watched it for Elba and the shots of snow falling in Berlin. But for a show like this to be thrilling, it has to be as swift as a greyhound. At a drawn-out eight episodes, Hijack 2 is closer to a well-fed basset hound. Go to Full Review

Idris Elba returns, but this time on a train. It’s a fish-out-of-water scenario where Sam Nelson is more involved in the violence. Tense, engaging, and features a new cast of characters you immediately care about. Go to Full Review

... a rare instance where the second season surpasses the first. The claustrophobic nature of the first season was only amplified on the train. I would love to watch a third season explored on a boat or some other wild form of transportation. Go to Full Review

"Supremely silly" is the perfect way to describe this show. Go to Full Review

Tomasz B @T0mmyB 1d Hell yes!!!! Idris always enterains!!! See more Julissa R. @julissar 2d Very suspenseful! Enjoyed season 1 better but both great ! See more JOHN T. @jt1anglais 2d Cliched and too many unbelievable plot situations. See more Lucas P @Soupedujour 2d The plot legitimately advances approximately once every half hour. Great for inducing naps though. See more The Film Guy B @TheFilmGuyBrown 2d Hmmm, I love Idris, his performance is great, but the series is quite slow and hard to hold my attention personally. I’ve watched two episodes and still I don’t know what’s going on. I need a little something by this point. It feels like it’s a dragging a bit. I hoping it turns and gets exciting soon See more Ken D @mynameisken 3d oh no it's so bad. everything about this season is bad but the acting.. horrrrrrible. See more Read all reviews
