Oh. What. Fun. (2025) Karina Adelgaard ...you do have to accept that a Christmas movie (of any kind) is its own beast. As such, you must be ready for this kind of "Christmas movie" premise, or you’ll be annoyed and/or disappointed. And, as a Christmas movie, I do think Oh. What. Fun. works.

After the Hunt (2025) Karina Adelgaard Watch AFTER THE HUNT for the way this plot will challenge, irritate, annoy, and move you. Who you believe or support might change as the movie continues – or it will stay the same throughout. It all depends on which of the...

The Christmas Writer (2025) Karina Adelgaard It’s just as cute and formulaic as it should be for this particular niche. Also, the chemistry between the two female leads is spot-on. Until it isn’t...

Hedda (2025) Karina Adelgaard ...a reimagining of Henrik Ibsen’s stage play. Now full of LGBTQ key characters portrayed by a wonderfully diverse cast. Not least, Tessa Thompson as the title character. A bold and powerful character study.

Last ExMas (2024) Karina Adelgaard It’s definitely the kind of feel-good LGBTQ Holiday movie I was hoping for. It reminded me of 'Happiest Season' but without anyone being closeted.

The Holiday Club (2024) Karina Adelgaard Of the two lead characters, one loves any and every holiday, and the other pretty much hates them. To be fair, after years of being unlucky during the holidays, there’s a (sort of) valid reason. Bottomline: Yes, you’ll want to watch this new movie.

In Her Place (2024) Karina Adelgaard ...it shines a spotlight on how things have changed. Yet also how much they’re still the same. It reminds us to never stop fighting – or we will be going back!

Concerto for Abigail (2024) Karina Adelgaard ...the two main characters are not teenagers, but adult women, who know who they are and what they want. Doesn’t that just sound beautiful?!

Am I OK? (2022) Karina Adelgaard ...this Late-Bloomer Lesbian Comedy is pure gold. It shows friendship and self-discovery in the most heartfelt and funny ways. An instant classic for me.

Drive-Away Dolls (2024) Karina Adelgaard ...while this Queer Noir-Comedy from Ethan Coen is a wild ride, it’s also good fun. By no means did I find this movie to be a masterpiece, but I would still recommend that you check it out.

Beautiful Rebel (2024) Karina Adelgaard ...we see her rise to fame, but we also experience the time when she almost gave up. The movie about her life focuses on the importance of music and relationships. Both the ones that saved her and those who almost broke her.

Scoop (2024) Karina Adelgaard I love getting a look behind the scenes, and that’s exactly what this film offers us. An idea of just how much happens before an interview takes place. Particularly with a member of the royal family in the UK.

The Royal Hotel (2023) Karina Adelgaard It’s essentially a thriller about how we should always listen to our intuition to stay safe.

Friends & Family Christmas (2023) Karina Adelgaard Yes, a Lesbian Hallmark Christmas movie. And yes, you should absolutely watch it.

A Holiday I Do (2023) Karina Adelgaard It’s cute and kitsch with every trope in the Christmas movie niche. Unfortunately, it feels like it could’ve been made in the 1990s when it comes to the physicality between the two women.

Nyad (2023) Karina Adelgaard It’s both a biography and a life-affirming story that focuses on dreams, perseverance, and friendship. The movie stars Annette Bening and Jodie Foster. What’s not to like?! Absolutely nothing.

7 Women and a Murder (2021) Karina Adelgaard ...an over-the-top comedy with a brilliant cast and so much drama. Very much character-driven and based on a play, which you can sense in both the 2002 movie from France and this 2022 Italian remake.

Looking for Her (2022) Karina Adelgaard It has all the makings of a classic Christmas Movie, so you’ll be able to guess much of it. However, isn’t that part of their allure and charm?! It’s sweet and safe because you know there will be a happy ending of some kind.

A Deadly Invitation (2023) Karina Adelgaard It’s a comedy, thriller, and drama hybrid in terms of genre, so it’s not a bloody or violent murder mystery. Instead, it’s more of a character-based story with heart and wit.

The Karamazovs (2024) Karina Adelgaard It all works surprisingly well, but I must admit, I feel you should probably know the original story from the novel to get everything out of this movie. Otherwise, I fear that too much won’t be fully understood.

Sally (2025) Karina Adelgaard Sally Ride was brilliant, fierce, remarkable and has left a huge mark on the world. With this documentary, it has expanded to encompass even more elements of who she was.
