Critics Consensus

Dull and downbeat, this Fantastic Four proves a woefully misguided attempt to translate a classic comic series without the humor, joy, or colorful thrills that made it great.

"Fantastic Four" is a profound mess. It's not fun. It's not exciting. It's far from action-packed. And it's most certainly not fantastic. Go to Full Review

A poorly constructed, ineptly executed, flatfooted piece of Branded Product that plays as though it were written by a piece of software fed every superhero movie script to date and instructed to synthesize them. Go to Full Review

A lightweight and basically unnecessary attempt to once again bring some cinematic life to one of the lesser teams in the Marvel Universe. Go to Full Review

A remake so radioactive it makes previous iterations look good. It’s amazing anyone wanted to try again after this. A true testament to the likability of the actors involved, because this is a true career killer. Go to Full Review

Frankly, it's one of the most heavy and boring superhero movies I've ever seen. [Full review in Spanish] Go to Full Review

Brighton N @RT09904023 1d While I'm not the first or the last who will say this by any means, Fantastic Four (2015) is devoid of life, character, or intrigue. Simply put? This is the least entertaining superhero film I've had the displeasure to watch. Don't harm your eyes by watching this unless you are dead-set on experiencing every Marvel film like yours truly. You'll thank me later. Check out my more in-depth review at The Reel Ranker by searching "Fantastic Four 2015" ;) See more Edward C @RT78837650 3d I really don't understand the dislike for this movie. It was just better than the most recent one the the 1960's retro look. Just as much action, and a much better story. See more Travis M @TMorg007 May 20 As a long time fan of Fantastic Four I was disappointed in this version. The acting in particular is very weak. This deviated from the source material significantly enough to render this film obsolete. Either read the comics, or go back and watch the first two FF movies. Undercooked, and should be forgotten. See more Andre T. @andrestuckmannmoviereviews May 16 This is painful to watch because nothing happens in this film, nothing works here even the cgi was terrible and the way that dr doom looks is so atrocious. I hate this film. F See more BANNER B @Banner-Blair May 3 The beginning is pretty good. The last half is pretty terrible. can’t really recommend See more Tommy D @Thomas005 Apr 23 This fantastic 4 movie is a total disaster. Is terribly boring and orrible See more Read all reviews
