Joel H @786Joel May 18 I don’t think I’ve seen a single episode of Lizzie McGuire, yet for some reason I’ve seen The Lizzie McGuire Movie multiple times. That being said, I also don’t think I’ve ever chosen to watch this movie, but I also haven’t walked away when it’s been put on. It’s difficult to ridicule this teen comedy, though, because it knows that it’s being ridiculous. Everything is intentionally overacted and over-the-top, with little footing in actual logic or reason. So, I’ve accepted the fact that The Lizzie McGuire Movie is fluffy cotton candy and will continue to not walk away if someone else turns it on. The main reason I watched this movie was because Robert Carradine was in it. Loved his character and wish he had more screen time. The songs in the movie were great. The story was predictable especially the ending. I really wish lizzies best friend would've gone home instead of sticking around. Too many times in these movies the girl never gets what's coming to her by ignoring how much her buddy likes her. It's heartening to see a Disney Channel star thrive beyond their childhood fame, and Hilary Duff's down-to-earth presence is undoubtedly part of her lasting charm. The film is an overall fun experience.
