There was potential but I felt the movie tried to speed up events to make the audience believe that there is a strong bond or affiliation between the characters. Frank Slade can tell her soap and perfume from a whiff afar. Al Pacino plays the role of blind old Frank, who is just a lump of sugar beneath all his harsh blues. If you're tangled up, just tango on. It is a lengthy film, but it never fails to entertain throughout with his shenanigans. Never have I seen a more abonimably cherishable, miserable, blind motherf****r. The music was magic to my ears, and the acting was truly a sight for the sorest (or blindest) eyes. There is an extravagant amount of goof and beauty in this masterpiece. Most of the script was beyond brilliant—some lines especially touching—living long after the scenes have faded away. I personally feel that the finale was much too melodramatic, and I did not even really like all of the monologue (not his delivery). The day we stop looking, Charlie, is the day we die. I have been taken through a roller coaster of emotions. Although the plot is quite predictable, it has no holes and keeps you engaged throughout the entire duration.
