Director David Gordon Green (The Righteous Gemstones) usually knows what to do with unlikable characters, but it can be hard to watch the petulant Hawkins as he treats people terribly and thinks only of himself (at least in early episodes).

It was a good show to watch which family. It was very goofy and included funny golf humor. I thought the characters were perfect for the roles that they played. Will Ferrell always makes the funniest movies and shows. This made me want to play golf.

If you liked Will Ferrell 20 years ago you will love this. It’s Ferrell funny, also properly funny, and just a little bit more grown up. The other cast members are great too - particularly the lady who plays his caddy.

"The Hawk" provides a feel good energy along with an updated sense of the modern golfing world. It’s not the most high brow of humor, reminiscent of Happy Gilmore at times, but does have some in there paired up with professional golfer cameos and a positive vibe on the course. As an avid golfer, I’ve actually been watching it more than other options.

I honestly think it was written with AI because I don’t think a writing team could come up with something so awful. Not one funny thing I the 3 episodes I made it through. I almost felt sorry for the actors but then realized Will Ferrell was out trying to sell this dreck. Please don’t waste your time.
