Furious is feminist, yes, but not in a hectoring way. It remains subversive, entertaining and even funny during its bleakest moments, with prestige acting and cliché-free dialogue that breathes new life into the tired old police procedural. It will be difficult to watch at times but your eyes will always be on the screen. See more Brian D @Brianwd2 20 hrs ago 78%. 9/12/26. Show hooks you immediately — opens with a woman murdering a man and doesn't let up from there. Emmy Rossum plays Alice, a low-level FBI agent who starts connecting the dots on a string of killings. The killer is Catherine, a trafficking survivor going after the men she holds responsible for the murder of the woman she loved. Alice eventually tracks her down and the two build a real connection rooted in mutual understanding — both are dealing with their own trauma at the hands of men, which makes their dynamic genuinely compelling. Just didn't love the ending. The confrontation between Catherine and the daughter who was facilitating her father's abuse felt off, and Alice's arrival in that same scene didn't land much better. It's rare to just be in awe of the villain and the copper, but it's that great. The show is so intense, but never overdone. The acting on both sides of the law is pristine and the anxiety of waiting for the next season with the ending of this season; that season can't come soon enough.
