It’s still too early to call the second season of this Theo James series about wealth and weed must viewing, but it’s getting closer by cutting deeper. I’m encouraged. Go to Full Review

There are moments that feel a little old-fashioned...but this cartoonish set-up hardly demands to be taken seriously. Go to Full Review

The Gentlemen prioritises the easy gratification of vaguely witty dialogue over actual jokes, big twists over character development, and cheap thrills over earned tension. Go to Full Review

There’s just enough fun in this show to keep it watchable. Go to Full Review

It possesses something far more unique: a world where a duke, a drug lord, and a member of parliament can sit around the same table and discover that their differences are fundamentally about etiquette. [Full review in Spanish] Go to Full Review

Some may contend that Ritchie’s narrative landscape is becoming a trifle over-familiar, but The Gentlemen 2 successfully brushes any such cavils aside with the sheer energy and velocity of its storytelling. Go to Full Review

Lee R @Lee_WeeZie 8 hrs ago Great show, season 2 surprised me by being better than the first. If you like Guy Richie your in for a binge. See more Melissa F @Mel567 10 hrs ago Was waiting for this season forever. It had a bit of a different tone than the first season but still a British mob drama. Great cast and Theo James did a great job carrying the show. Good story development for its. characters. See more Stephen G C @RT18203227 18 hrs ago Guy Ritchie's best work yet. Well paced, dark, incredibly violent and visually spectacular. Plot twists and betrayal. A mix of The Godfather meets The Little Old Lady Who Swallowed A Fly. See more Denis D @RT44203674 19 hrs ago Better than season 1. The story lines more gripping, darker (with humour thrown in), superb casting, and sumptuous cinematography. The threads of the plot came together really well the last few episodes. They were well set up in the first few. The dark turn by Eddie, was a good character arc move. And the series aluded to ethics notably a few times. Superb dialogue. See more in2itivelady T @RT32523951 23 hrs ago The best part about this series is the absolutely electric cast led by Theo James and Kaya Scodelario, with some stellar contributions by Ray Winstone, Vinnie Jones (in his best ever role), Joely Richardson and Daniel Ings among others. The chemistry carries the series through some of the more derivative moments, and keeps things fresh and compelling. The second season broadens the world, but it still feels like we’re living on the same planet (no stolen VCRs to international bank heists à la F&F). Is it Guy Ritchie’s most innovative work? Probably not (it’s a bit heavy handed with the Godfather references), but it does feel like his best balance in some time of strong performances, comedy, crime and consequence. I loved series 1 and series 2 commits to stepping it up. See more John F @RT84127024 23 hrs ago Better than the first season, even if James & Scodelario didn't hook up like I'd hoped. Some pretty interesting twists in the plot and Ings was largely sidelined for this season (which was good for me since I found his character rather lame). Finale is a bit over the top but the penultimate episode is really good. See more Read all reviews
