Was so excited when I saw the unseen Williams flick. John Krazinski is the only decent thing in this flick. W @Twinz1008 May 25 This one leans into the absurd, but if you’re in the right mood, it works. Robin Williams brings his usual chaotic energy, and while some of the humour is definitely over-the-top, there are a few genuinely funny and unexpectedly sweet moments tucked in. The premise is a bit ridiculous — pre-marriage bootcamp led by an unorthodox minister — but it sets up enough awkward situations and heartwarming resolutions to keep it engaging. Mandy Moore and John Krasinski have decent chemistry, and even when the plot stretches believability, the cast keeps it grounded. It’s not a film I’d rewatch regularly, but for a light, silly rom-com with some unexpected laughs, it’s worth a watch.
