After being banished from his grim kingdom, Stanley (Dom DeLuise), an amiable troll with a magical talent for growing greenery, ends up in Central Park. Struggling to adapt to his unfamiliar surroundings, Stanley is befriended by young Gus (Phillip Glasser) and his little sister, Rosie (Tawny Sunshine Glover). Soon, however, the evil troll queen, Gnorga (Cloris Leachman), sets out to make Stanley's life miserable, endangering both him and the children.

Absolutely stunning animation! It was created by the famous Don Bluth, former Disney animator, who also did Anastasia and All Dogs Go to Heaven. The music was so sweet and beautiful too. It was a message of positivity in a harsh world.

This remains one of my favorite movies from my childhood. It's sweet, silly and a little creepy. Being a big kid myself, I look forward to watching this with my granddaughter for years to come. So grateful for all of Don Bluth's films! 🥹

Synopsis
