Alita: Battle Angel is one of those movies that you HAVE TO watch at a movie theater (...) it's a visual experience, so do waste your time and money in supporting this film. Alita alone deserves that effort.

Alita: Battle Angel has plenty to like, and the best thing about it is Alita herself. Rosa Salazar gives her innocence, curiosity, anger, courage, and emotional openness. Even with the digital design, the character feels alive. The world-building is also strong. Iron City, Zalem, hunter-warriors, cybernetic bodies, Motorball, and the scrap-yard future give the movie a big, lived-in sci-fi world that feels like it extends beyond the frame. The fights are fast, clear, and exciting, especially as Alita discovers what she can do. The visual effects are impressive and serve the world well, even when the design takes some adjustment. The problem is that the story feels like setup for a sequel, ending with too much unresolved. Alita is visually impressive and often exciting, but it feels more like a first chapter than a complete film.

About a scientist who brings to life an A.I. teen. Then she must search to find out who she is. The action in the movie is amazing! The special effects are top notch! You must see this.

The CGI and special effects are top notch, but execution is off. The director choice is a mismatch. Most of the mecha designs look silly and lack creativity. Action sequences are visually stunning but soulless. Missed opportunity.

Alita Battle Angel had such an impact on me back in 2019. I returned to the cinema 3 times to watch it! I hope for a sequel to a movie which didn’t stick to the rules of big budget blockbusters. It had real grit, an amazing cast, a fantastic score and plenty of scenes which pushed it past just a kids flick. A modern classic, full stop
