isla s @RT89656869 09/03/2022 This is most certainly a quirky, somewhat surreal film - its very much 'The Mighty Boosh'-ish but I found it delightfully amusing due to its quirkiness. I wasn't so keen on 'The Mighty Boosh' (a somewhat eccentric TV series) but this film I enjoyed, as I found myself relating to some aspects of the plot and the main characters (one moreso than others) are at least somewhat likeable. I liked that it has a sort of stop motion animation look to it in parts of some scenes. Its very imaginative and I like the bright yellow/orange colour tint present in some parts too, plus the light instrumental music played (a xylophone was played at one point). It does have a sort of chidish naivety to it but there is a fair bit of moderately strong language used, so this isn't intended for especially young viewers (it carries a 15 rating). Also, for comparisons sake, I'd say it has a slight feel of the 'Adam & Joe show' about it - that was a 1990s comedy show in the UK, in which the 2 comedians (Adam and Joe) would recreate famous films and other things with cheap materials (dolls/action figures etc. - look it up on youtube if interested). There are some stereotypes present (a Russian character and Noel Fielding as a delightfully over the top Spanish matador) but overall I thought it was a quirky and lighthearted, fairly amusing and certainly reasonably entertaining film. It won't appeal to everyone but I suppose I'd recommend it, yes. See more 02/08/2020 Visually interesting and unique but found the plot dull and humorless and the conclusion ridiculous. See more 09/18/2015 A damn right surreal and odd film that is a completely different league of quirky. Bunny and the bull is a funny, artsy comedy that tells the story of an agoraphobic living life by routines. The film is structured through flash back and tells the story of the two guys on a european holiday and why he turned into an agoraphobic. Some very funny moments and nice to see cameos from noel fielding and julian barratt. A great film that is way out there. See more 02/25/2015 The three stars are present only for the artistic style of this film, which is a nod to Gondry and Anderson. The script is weak, the actors wooden and plot empty which wastes the beautiful visuals of this film. Such a shame. See more 02/19/2014 Wasn't sure where this was going, but ended up enjoying it. See more 02/02/2014 This is a totally mental film! Not 1/20th as mental as Noel Fielding Luxury Comedy but up there! The surreal backgrounds and animation only reinforce mundane nature of Ed Hogg's character's slow decent into madness from just being anal retentive all the way to the full blown shut-in and hallucinatory states.
