ONE. of her ridiculous stories is about how women *pretend* to be victims but oh, no, not her. She's a cool girl. She'd never care about female victims of intimate partner violence or interpersonal assault or family annihilation because she's a COOL GIRL, see!? And she'd never be a victim, either, because she does all the right things! She would never do sex work like the despicable person in this movie. I hate this Gillian woman more than words can describe. Men still don't like you, you absolute dpsht. You are NOT getting their approval with this crap. All you are getting is approval from other deluded women who think that acting like handmaids will give them a tiny bit of respite from misogyny. You're a token, and you'll be spent, Gillian. See more Martin E @RT14368336 02/02/2025 I guess sometimes it's ok to score a film simply on the extent to which it moved you. This is one of those for me. Probably a particular set of triggered emotions that not everyone would have. It's hard to describe but the best I can come up with is to say that if you have a keen sense of the fine line between hope and despair, this film will probably get to you. But it's probably just me.
